Nobody's in charge: This is a distributed system. The pages you reach from the "official" ones are maintained by lots of different people, who have individual control over the content. Pages may also refer or link to others that are maintained by students and/or student-run groups.

Some information is site-specific: As with many local Webs, some of the information you can reach is likely only of interest to local readers. There's no particularly clean separation between external and internal information.

We log accesses to our HTTP server: Most HTTP servers do so, too. Our logs include the time, the URL you request, and the machine from which you make the request. Why should you care? Well, anyone viewing the logs can tell what you were looking for here, and if you're accessing our server from a private workstation they might be able to guess who you are, too.
